Requirements to obtain the TURISTA PENSIONADO status in Panama

• Power of attorney
• Medical certificate issued within the three months prior to the date of request.
• Original passport (should not expire within the next six (6) months)
• Photocopy of all the pages of the passport authenticated by a notary.
• Four (4) passport size pictures
• A document which certifies that you receive an income or pension from your government and/or employer, equivalent to a monthly minimum of US$500.

If you have any dependents or spouse, the income or pension amount must reflect an additional US$100 per dependent.

If your proof of income is from a private company, you must provide documents that certify that the company is operating; also evidence that the pension is being paid (check stubs, bank statement showing wire transfers, etc.)

Every document issued outside Panama in a foreign language should be translated into the Spanish language by a certified public translator. CheckOut Panama will help you with this.

All documents must be verified and stamped by the appropriate local Panamanian consulate in your place of residency or apostilled by the local organization certified to provide this service.
